Welcome to Swell House Wellness — we’re so glad you’re here.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and we want you to feel as informed and supported as possible along the way. Below, you’ll find a clear outline of what to expect as a client in our practice. Whether you’re brand new to therapy or returning after time away, our goal is to create a space that feels safe, collaborative, and grounded in whole-person care.
If you don’t have a therapist yet, please reach out to info@swellhousewellness.com or the therapist of your choosing from the “Our Team” page. You can also request a consultation here.
We can’t wait to meet you!
Before You Get Started
All new clients must complete a free 15-minute consultation before booking an intake session. It’s a chance to make sure we’re a good fit and answer any questions you have.
Crisis
We do not offer emergency or crisis services. If you are in immediate danger or need urgent help, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. You can also call 988 or text 741741.
Scheduling & Staying Active
You’ll schedule directly with your therapist or through our online system. You won't be able to access the online portal until you have already completed a consultation. If you need to schedule a consultation, please reach out to info@swellhousewellness.com or the therapist of your choosing from the "Our Team" page.
To stay active in our practice, clients must attend at least one session every six weeks. If it’s been longer, your file may be marked inactive and we can’t guarantee your spot will remain open.

Insurance
We are a private pay practice, which means we don’t bill insurance directly. If your plan includes out-of-network benefits, we can provide a superbill for you to submit for potential reimbursement.
Confidentiality
What you share in session is confidential, with a few exceptions required by law — like if there’s a risk of harm to yourself or others, or suspected abuse of a child, elder, or vulnerable adult.
Telehealth Sessions
Virtual sessions are available to clients located in Georgia. You’ll need a secure, quiet space and a reliable internet connection.
Guests & Children
Only scheduled clients are allowed in the therapy space. We’re not able to supervise children during your session. If child care is a concern, telehealth may be a good option.
Between Sessions
You can email your therapist for scheduling or logistical needs. Please note, we are not always able to respond immediately, but do try to respond within 24hrs during standard business hours, not including weekends or holidays. Clinical questions and conversations should be saved for your sessions.

Ending Therapy
You’re welcome to pause or end therapy at any time. We recommend scheduling a final session to wrap things up intentionally.
If your needs change, your therapist may recommend a referral to another provider who’s a better fit. Alternatively, if you would just like to see another therapist, you can always request a new one based on availability.
